          Alpha Strategic appoints Nicola Meaden non-executive director

Alpha Strategic announces that Nicola Marie Meaden has joined the board as a
non-executive director with immediate effect.

Nicola (Aged 45) is a highly experienced personality in the hedge fund industry.
In 1990 she founded TASS Investment Research Limited, identifying and
researching hedge fund managers. The company was sold to Tremont Advisors Inc in
1999, and Nicola continued as Chairman. Under her chairmanship, the company's
fund of fund activities expanded into Europe and Japan and she was instrumental
in the construction and launch of the CSFB Tremont hedge fund indices.

In 2001, Nicola was appointed Managing Director of Blackstone Group's European
marketable alternative investment division and was a member of their investment
committee. In 2004 she left to set up Dumas Capital Ltd, a specialist advisory
firm to the Hedge Fund industry. She is the author of two books: 'Derivatives
Markets and Investment Management' and 'Futures Fund Management'.
