Board Changes and Date of AGM



Alpha Strategic is pleased to announce the appointment, with immediate effect, of Nicola Meaden-Grenham as its new Chief Executive Officer.  Nicola Meaden-Grenham was previously a Non-Executive Director of the Company. At the same time Kit Malthouse, the incumbent CEO, becomes Finance Director of the Company following his election to the London Assembly. 


The Company's AGM will take place on 24th September, 2008 at 10 am. At the AGM changes to the executive incentive scheme will be proposed to reflect the change in roles of Mrs Meaden-Grenham and Mr Malthouse. 


In making the announcement, Colin Barrow, Chairman of the Board, stated: "We are very pleased that Nicola has accepted our invitation to lead the company at this exciting time in its evolution. Nicola has already played a key role in formulating our strategic plan and we have every confidence in her ability to develop it.  Kit has done an excellent job developing the company to date as CEO. We thank Kit for the strong foundations that have been laid and look forward to his continued participation in building on these in the future".

Nicola Meaden-Grenham

Co-founder in February 2004 of Dumas Capital Limited, a specialist independent advisory firm within the alternative investment industry. From 2001 until end 2003 Nicola was Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee with the Blackstone Group Inc. where she was responsible for establishing and managing the development of the group's fund of hedge fund activities outside the US. In 1990, Nicola founded TASS Research (TASS) which became one of the market's leading global information and research companies specialising in hedge funds. In 1999 TASS merged with Tremont, the US based consultant and fund of hedge funds manager. Nicola managed the London operation and expanded the company's fund of fund activities into Europe and Japan. In 2001 Tremont and TASS were bought by Oppenheimer Funds, Inc. She is the co-author of two books published by Prentice Hall: Derivative Markets & Investment Management (1995), and Futures Fund Management (1991).
