Purchase of Shares by a Director

Alpha was notified on 12 September 2008 that Colin Barrow, Chairman of the Company, purchased 30,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 11 September 2008 at a price of 100p each. As a result, Mr Barrow owns 530,000 Ordinary Shares representing 16.02 per cent. of the issued Ordinary Shares. Mr Barrow also owns 1,000 'A' ordinary shares.

In addition, on 11 September 2008, Mr Barrow purchased for £1 an existing warrant giving the right to subscribe for 15,000 shares at 100p per share. This right to subscribe expires in August 2010.
